IAIA WNC Conference 2008:
Cultural Impact Assessment
Proceedings of
WNC Annual Conference
Cultural Impact
Assessment:
Beyond the Biophysical
Yellowknife, NT
Feb. 28th and 29th, 2008
In February of 2008, the Western and Northern Canada Affiliate of the
International Association for Impact Assessment held a conference on Cultural
Impact Assessment.  This two day conference brought together people dealing
with the challenging but important task of evaluating impacts on culture, and
bringing cultural issues into environmental impact assessment.  Presenters and
participants came from across Canada to join together in a robust discussion of
cases, theory and practice of cultural impact assessment.

The proceedings of the conference are on this web page.  If you scroll down, you
will find a reproduction of the agenda.  Wherever possible, we have provided you
with the presenters'
biography, abstract, slides, and an audio recording of the
presentations.  Our goal is to offer this as a
virtual conference to those people
who are interested but were unable to attend.  Where our equipment failed us, we
offer at least slides or audio.

[Note: Some of the audio files are pretty big, so they might take a minute to download.  You can
open both the presentation file and the audio file, and enjoy the virtual conference.  (You still
have to figure out when to change slides for yourself!)
